CARING FOR YOUR WOOL COATS & VESTS
Our wool coats and vests are easy to look after.
A gentle hand wash in tepid/warm water or just pop them in the washing machine on ‘wool’ cycle. Always use a detergent specifically formulated for washing wool. Dry flat on a towel in the shade. Iron the inside of your coat on a warm setting or iron the wool side with a cloth between the iron and wool. Make sure your iron is set on a ‘wool’ (warm setting - not hot)
Then just hang your coat or vest to store and it will always be ready to be worn during the cooler months of the year!
To assist in repelling moths from your treasured garments, hang or put cedar wood balls, lavender bags or dried lemon peel near (not on) your woollen coats & vests. The following essential oils are also helpful in deterring moths: May Chang, patchouli, lavender, cedar wood, laurel, rosemary, thyme & clove bud. (never put essential oils directly onto your garments.)
*Note: Always keep cedar balls etc out of the reach of children.
